Happy Place Community Climate Action
Who, What, When, Why, and How?
Because House Democrats can’t seem to reach a middle ground, they continue to delay voting on the bipartisan infrastructure bill. We need to make sure no climate policy is left behind as negotiations continue. The bipartisan infrastructure bill is the second tactic (in conjunction with the budget reconciliation bill) to address climate change through the White House’s Build Back Better Plan. This plan aims to uplift the U.S. in everything from infrastructure and climate protection to job creation.
The Good Stuff
Huge investments in climate saving measures like:
Electric Vehicle Infrastructure
Modernizing & Expanding Public Transportation
Expanding Rail Systems
Upgrades to Power Infrastructure for Clean Energy
Clean Up & Mitigate Pollution
What are we doing about it?
Happy Place scripted an email (so you don’t have to) for you to send to your House Representatives letting them know how important the infrastructure bill is to saving our happy places. We will encourage them to include all climate policies from the Build Back Better agenda.

Update on Last Week’s Action
Budget Reconciliation Bill
Last week an intermediary budget bill was passed to keep the government running, pushing back budget reconciliation on climate change until December. Senators Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona are still the hurdles to getting this passed. Be sure to take last week's action if you haven’t already.
