Simple Climate Action #1
Who, What, When, Why, and How?
The United States Congress is on the verge of passing historical climate change policy through the budget reconciliation bill. The reconciliation bill is potentially the largest federal climate policy for the next decade and contains amazing climate initiatives and goals. We need 50 Senators to vote in support of the the bill in order for it to pass and move forward to the White House. There are two wavering Democrats, Joe Manchin of West Virginia & Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona who could prevent the passing of the policy.
The Good Stuff:
Clean Energy Standards (CES)
Clean Energy Tax Credits
The potential to REVOLUTIONIZE our country’s electric grid/systems
The possibility of 100% renewable energy in the US by 2035
Appropriating hundreds of billions of dollars to tackle climate change
What are we doing about it?
Save Our Happy Place has written a Take Action Email for all of us to send to the offices of Manchin and Sinema, so you don’t have to!
