10 Things You Can Start Doing Now
To Help Save the Earth this Earth Week
Want to help stop climate change but don't know where to start? Take these 10 simple actions to make an impact.
1. Talk About the Climate Crisis
This is one of the most powerful things you can do from an individual level. Remember to listen, find common ground, and not preach.
2. Switch to Clean Energy
Contact your energy company to see about having renewables pumped directly into your home or have solar panels installed.
3. Use Greener Transportation
If you are in need of a new car, test drive electrics. They produce 40% less CO2 than standard gasoline models. Take public transportation, walk or ride a bike.
4. Say 'No' to Plastics
Refuse plastics whenever possible. Grocery bags, food wrapping, take-out boxes, straws, airplane drinks, etc.
5. Support Climate News
Share and comment on climate-related news stories. Reach out to your local news channels demanding they cover the climate crisis.
6. Reduce Food Waste
Buy only what you need, eat your leftovers, store produce properly, share dishes at restaurants, share access, and finally compost your food scraps.
7. Inspire Change at Work
Get involved with or become the sustainability ambassador at your place of work. See which ways your company can go green and get your colleagues involved.
8. Keep Politicians Accountable

Move your finances over to banks that are not investing your hard-earned dollars into fossil fuel companies.
